This post isn’t written to blame someone, really. But a lesson to be learned. That’s why I won’t tell you who is the person who copied my post. Not at all. That’s why I wrote he/she as subject.
Okay, someone copied my post: a review with personal view. Hm, so what? That’s not important, huh? Well, of course you can say that. Public blogging means sharing, right? Yup, me too, sometimes copying excerpts, facts, or lyrics from various sites. But, I will not admit it as my original post. That’s why, I won’t and hopefully never ever copy something without giving credit or at least, say that every copyright items are no way mine. It’s a big NO for me to copy a personal review from others blog just like that, especially without indicating which “I” refers to myself, and which “I” refers to the original writers.
Why?
Because it can lead to confusion.
See, in this case, the blog who copy my post, wrote his/her post on “2007″ (maybe he/she forgot to change the date?) while my post is written in 2010. So, at first glance, who’s the copycat?
Like one of my colleagues said, it’s me.
And, I bet you don’t know how hurt I am to be accused like that.
Fortunately, the “my fav charas” link still remains in the copied post. That link is my prove. Since the link refers to my blog (the link acted as referrer in Site Stats, and led me to his/her blog), there is no way that the “my” refers to the other blogger. Why would he/she link a “my fav character” to someone else’s blog while he/she has the same post (and yup, he/she copied “my fav charas” too T.T), right?
And you know what thing that led me furious more at that time?
His/her own sentence.
A sentence that told people to appreciate him/her by giving credit to him/her after copying something from his/her blog.
I felt like a fool reading that. That’s why I posted a comment demanding him/her to credit me and other source on his/her copied post.
Maybe my comment was too harsh, but I want him/her to be true to his/her words.
Thank God, he/she did apologize. I really appreciate that. Thank you. And, I think, okay, probably he/she didn’t mean to “steal” and have no idea how that action hurts me.
(But, unfortunately, he/she still link one of my posts to others’ source, which once again can make me to be accused of copying someone else’s post, again. T.T I’ve already emailed him/her about this. But, no answers for now. Hope he/she’ll read that soon, because I want him/her to know that if he/she felt hurt because of my comment, well… he/she’s not alone. I’m hurt as well because of this incident.)
Update: It is already settled. Thank you.
So, everyone, since it’s not nice to be accused as copycat, I want you to remind me giving credit to original source or even remove it if it violates someone’s right by telling me on “GUESTBOOK“, okay? Because for me, SHARING is encouraged but STEALING is not.
Btw, based on your experience, have your posts been copied, too? Tell me what do you think about blog sharing: what’s yes and what’s not, so I can prevent myself to be a copy cat. Like, posting lyric or youtube video. Is giving credit to the original source enough? Or should I remove them all? Or should I just stop blogging if I don’t have my own material?
Thanks for reading, have a nice day.

Thank you, sakuramochi. It’s good too that the person finally credit me in her posts. It feels bad to be copied without credit. Not that I’m crazy for attention or acknowledgement, but, it is terrible to be accused as a copycat when, the truth is, you’re the original writer, right?
